Team:

Activate is supported by a team of missionaries from across Japan. This team supports in different capacities whether that be in terms of administration, marketing, teaching or in an advisory capacity. Please note that through the internship we have specialist teachers, who have an academic background and deeper knowledge and experience in particular areas, who will join the sessions to provide that specialist input. The activate team are all united in their vision to see missionaries strengthened, equipped and released to see the multiplication of healthy disciples and churches across Japan and East-Asia.

Nilesh Raveendran

Nilesh is a missionary church planter based in Nagoya with a passion to see disciples that make disciples and churches that make churches across this nation. He grew up in England where he was part of the leadership team for a social action charity and moved to Japan in 2006 after hearing a call from God. He is based in Nagoya where he lives with his wife Risa and 3 kids. He is the director of the Connect Mission team and is passionate to serve the wider missionary community and churches mobilized to fulfil the great commission.

Dr. Chris Michael Moore

Dr. Chris Michael Moore is a disciple of Jesus, Lead Elder of New Heart Church, a Protestant (NCMI) Church in Nagoya, Japan, and President of Inter-Translation Services, Inc., a translation and interpretation company. Chris has a D.Min. from Tokyo Graduate School of Theology. Chris is a director of Community church Ippan shadan Houjin and supports the biblical theology track for the activate team.

Sho Sugaya

Sho Sugaya is married with 2 adult daughers. He has worked in Cambodia as a missionary from 1995 to 2007. Currently he serves as the International Director in OMF. Sho Sugaya supports the cross-cultural communication track for the activate team.

David Bareham

David is married to Anita, they live in Chafford Hundred, Essex, UK, and have three grown up children. He is part of the Eldership Team at Community Church Chafford Hundred, and has gone on to serve and plant other churches locally and internationally (Including Community Church Nagoya), serving part of the Relational Mission family of churches. David serves the four fields discipleship track for the Activate team.
